RS Law is pleased to announce that its Co-Founder and Junior Advocate, Abdul Rehman, has received two academic awards from the University of Warwick Law School for his performance in the final-year Supervised Project Module.
Rehman achieved a mark of 88% for his Alternative Judgment, the highest mark awarded in the Alternative Judgment stream. His work was awarded First Prize in recognition of its creativity, originality and analysis of technically challenging legal issues.

His submission was also named the overall winner of the 15-CAT Supervised Project Module, having achieved the highest mark across the entire finalist cohort. He received a £50 prize as the winner of the Alternative Judgment stream and a further £100 prize for achieving the highest overall mark in the module.
Rehman’s judgment, BKY & Others v The King, examines the principles governing joint enterprise and secondary liability in the context of group violence culminating in murder. Written in the form of a fictional Supreme Court judgment, it considers participation, intention, individual criminal responsibility and the doctrine of overwhelming supervening acts.

This achievement reflects the rigorous legal analysis, careful reasoning and commitment to advocacy that Rehman brings to his work at RS Law.
